INTRODUTION FOR MY BLOGGER

Greetings everyone 



My name is Sisanda Nciki  located at Harding, I am currently studying diploma in Public Relations at University of Zululand. I am very passionate and more driven to become a very good public communication officer and I believe I can become more in the future if I keep pushing my career. So, when I was in High school, I was a shy person but also like to communicate with people and that's where I decided to apply for something that will encourage and educate me to communicate with people because communication is a best tool to bring us together to share ideas and knowledge to make a better world. My shot term goal is to further my studies do my advanced diploma and my long-term goal is to become a professional communication officer manager and also own my own company in 5 years to come. 

The purpose of my blogger is to deliver, inform and educate people about what is happening in our country like Gender Based Violence in South Africa for people so that they can find ways to overcome the situation.

Police Minister Bheki Cele engages with Khayelitsha men on GBV and femicide in society One of the issues brought up by the men who attended the Imbizo Ya Madoda yesterday in Khayelitsha, where Police Minister Bheki Cele joined them, was this. The event's goal was to encourage and promote men's active and meaningful participation in the fight against gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF), domestic violence, and sexual offenses. The imbizo follows the gang rape of a 19-year-old Makhaza woman who is currently recovering in the hospital after she was allegedly assaulted and raped while returning home from a friend's house by an ex-lover and his buddies. Men from the Harare, Lingelethu-West, Site B, and Makhaza policing precincts made up the majority of attendees during the imbizo.   Gender-based violence is a phenomenon deeply rooted in gender inequality and continues to be one of the most notable human rights violations within all societies. Gender-based violence is violence directed against a person           because of their gender. Both women and men experience gender-based violence but the majority of victims are              women and  girls. Gender-based violence and  violence against women  are terms that are often used interchangeably as it has been widely acknowledged that most gender-based violence is inflicted on women and girls, by men.
